Where Our Plants Actually Come From

At Over Grown, we curate a blend of trusted everyday favorites alongside a constantly shifting inventory of unique foliage. We rotate varieties continuously so that whether you visit us weekly or once a month, our shops in Westerville and Dublin always feel fresh, vibrant, and full of new discoveries. But before a plant ever makes its way to our display tables, it goes through a journey behind the scenes.

Quarantine & Inspection Post Delivery

Delivery day is always an exciting day at OG. The second we unload and those boxes open, we perform a rapid first inspection. Even when a plant looks flawless at first glance, it doesn't go straight to the sales floor. Tropical nurseries are natural ecosystems, which means tiny hitchhikers can easily hide in dense plants. During quarantine, we inspect the foliage thoroughly for any pests and check to make sure every and all plants look as healthy as possible before hitting the shelves.

Treatment, Acclimation & Leaf Care

Once in quarantine, our care routine begins. Nursery plants have spent days in total darkness inside delivery trucks, so we gently acclimate them to ambient shop lighting to prevent shock.

Repotting & Pricing: Quality You Can See

By the time a plant is cleared for the shop floor, it has received significant hands-on labor, expert pest prevention, and individual care.

We price our plants with absolute confidence in their health and longevity. When you purchase from us, you aren't paying for an unvetted, mass-market shipment that was thrown directly onto a shelf from a box. You are paying for a healthy, fully acclimated living specimen that has been inspected, treated, and cared for by plant professionals.

To make things even easier, we offer in-store repotting! If you select a plant and one of our pots, our team will repot it for you right at the counter using our custom, high-aeration soil blends. Our repotting service fees are simply based on the size of the new pot! If you bring in your own soil, it is 50% of the standard repotting price.

What This Means for You as a Buyer

When you take an Over Grown plant home, you bypass the most stressful phase of indoor plant ownership.
